Scooter Squad in Udo Island

Our second day in Jeju had us ironically going to another island on the northeast of Jeju called Udo Island. This island was small enough for you to travel all around it on scooter with sight seeing in about hours. On the way we stopped for some food and this time we had a cold kind of bibimbop soup with ice cubes inside the broth. We took some pics outside before we continued on our way towars the Udo dock.

Once we arrived at the dock wehopped on the ferry and it was a short 10-15 minute ride to the island of Udo. We rented scooters as soo as we got there and had a time limit of two hours.

The scooters were fun and we made stops as we pleased mostly on little beach spots for a drink or two.

The next stop included another place where visitors made structures of stacked rocks. The real fascincating stop was the one with the black sand beach that sat next to a cave that contained hundreds of the little stacked rock sculptures. It was a shame the weather wasn't warm enough to jump into the water and the breeze was rather strong as well.

We saw some of the locals pick up certain kinds of the sea weed that washed up on shore. One of the Hajimas let me take a picture of her and her catch.

We mad it back to return the scooters right on the scooter hour and found ourselves running to the ferry that was about to take off. That night we ended up hitting up a local Hof beer bar and also tying to get served t a different bar where we were given the "X" hand signal by the bartender as soon as we approached the bar basically saying no service. Jong than approached them and they seemed to change their mind and offered us a table. We didn't take them up on their sudden change of heart and left the bar anyway. Jeju is small in comparison to Seoul and the locals are not as used to foreigners so I guess we just walked into the wrong bar. No worries though, we kept on and ended the night with some Kimbop (Korean version of sushi) and Chige (hot pot soup).
