After Jeju I was ready for Seoul. The island scene was nice and quaint but I was ready for the hustle and bustle of the city.

We went up to the NamSan tower to see how big Seoul is. Seoul is huge in terms of population and area. It's one of the most populous cities in the world and it can easily be seen why from the top of the tower. I couldn't take a good panoramic shapshot due to the various glass walls and poles in the way but Seoul reaches out very far.

Surrounding the tower are thousands upon thousands of locks attached to hearts with messages on them. Many couples come here and place a lock representing their love on the fences of the pavilion. I creates a very captivating scene.
Wine and coffee with an old friend from Atlanta entailed the tower afterwards. Peter's English co-worker joined the group as well so it was a nice mix of bombarding jokes between the southeastern United States and England. The group got bigger as the night progressed with 2 more friends joining in at a famous local burger restaurant called Jacobys in haebangchon.
It turned out that the next day was a holiday so from Jacobys we set for Dillingers where most of Peter's co-workers were waiting for drinks. At this point it was getting messy so I hid my camera in a safe spot before heading out to meet up with the festive group of English teaching ex-pats. Dillingers is located in Itaewon; a very hot spot for night life where you can find some good places to hop around. Our group merged with the large group that was already there so the shots and drinks started flying left and right. Jager ws on the menu as well as my good old friend Bacardi so it was a nice change of pace after Soju and Cass.
From Dillingers the wave of holiday mineral drinkers migrated to two other bars before hitting the street corner kebab stand and calling it a night(or so we thought). We crammed six in a cab and made it back to Shincheon at about 4ish. From there our third wind kicked in and we found ourselves with an over-priced bottle of Yellow Tail Chardonnay at a park by the time the sun came up(I couldn't stomach Soju at that point). There were three Korean girls behind our park bench eating Rameyon cups straight from a 7-Eleven at about 6am. I found it strange but that's how it's done here in Korea. I needed a power nap so I headed back to bed at around 7am to start off the day without too much harm(needless to say we would find ourselves picking up the festivities of the holiday waaaaay sooner that we imagined).
